Transitioning into Professional Nursing
R.N. to B.S. Program

This course explains the mission and philosophy of Salve Regina and the Department of Nursing, the development of the discipline of nursing and the expectations of the nurse of the future. Students are given assignments that develop skills in the use of library information systems and information technology, professional writing in APA format and public speaking/presentation skills for professional nurses.

His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama brought his message of compassion to Salve Regina in November 2005, as more than 4,000 members of the Salve Regina community and the general public came to hear the spiritual leader discuss “A Human Approach to World Peace” and answer student questions.
