Our goal is to help you reach yours

Whether you are a prospective undergraduate, a returning student, a professional looking to advance your career opportunities or simply someone who loves to learn, your educational journey continues here.

We recognize that educational costs are a concern for many. Financial aid and other assistance varies for each type of student or program, but our best efforts will be put forth to ensure qualified students interested in attending Salve Regina are able to do so.

Below you will find information to help you take that first step toward success.

Undergraduate Admissions

While admission to Salve Regina is competitive, students are selected without regard to age, race, gender, creed, national or ethnic origin, sexual orientation or disability. Please visit the Office of Undergraduate Admissions for more details about the application process or the Office of Financial Aid for further assistance with funding and scholarships.

Graduate Admissions

The University offers master's degrees in nine areas as well as a doctorate in humanities. Graduate courses are available on our Newport campus, at our Blackstone Valley site in Pawtucket, R.I., or online. Certificate programs and a five-year course of study option are also available. Programs are open to individuals with bachelor's degrees from regionally accredited institutions of higher learning or an equivalent degree from an internationally accredited college or university. The Office of Graduate Studies and Continuing Education will help you get started.

RN to B.S. Program

Designed with working nurses in mind, Salve Regina's RN to B.S. program is available to those with an RN license who are currently established in the field. Accepted applicants must also have at least 45 credits of undergraduate work completed. Classes are held at Newport Hospital, Miriam Hospital, Rhode Island Hospital, Kent County Hospital and Salve Regina's Blackstone Valley site in Pawtucket.

Adult Learning and Continuing Education Programs

Not everyone seeking access to higher education is doing so right after high school. Salve Regina recognizes the growing number of non-traditional students searching for learning opportunities through continuing education, professional workshops and community-based programs. Current offerings include those sponsored under the Office of Graduate Studies and Continuing Education as well as Salve Regina's Circle of Scholars for those over the age of 50.

Gregory Morrison '10 came to Salve Regina because the University is one of a handful of colleges and universities nationwide to offer a bachelor's degree in his chosen major - cultural and historic preservation. But it was the welcoming, inclusive community he discovered on campus that kept him here.
