In China's 'porcelain city,' ceramics professor learns 'the Salve way'
Ceramics has always been more than a passion for Rhode Island artist Jay Lacouture, a 30-year professor in the art department. Ceramics is a way of life. Nowhere is this more evident than in China’s “Porcelain City,” where Lacouture worked lasy fall as a Visiting Artist at the Jingdezhen Ceramic Institute.

University hosts RI Scholastic Art Awards, exhibit
Two hundred of the state’s most talented young artists – representing 49 high schools throughout Rhode Island – will join their families on the Salve Regina University campus this weekend for the Rhode Island Scholastic Art Awards, followed by an opening reception of their exhibit in University Gallery
